Different Alternatives for Hardwood Floor

Generally, homeowners look for different flooring ideas for remodeling their home. Now-a-days, many of the homeowners are choosing hardwood surface flooring. This is traditional choice, but cost of the hardwood is increasing day by day. So, there is a need of alternatives for hardwood floor. There are many alternatives which have same advantages as hardwood for floor. There are different alternative options for hardwood, such as:

Laminate flooring options: This floor is an attractive option because it is available in many styles which copy the natural materials like hardwood, tile and stone, etc. It has a smooth surface that provides good look for floor. This floor can be installed on concrete floor or any type of sub floor in any room. This laminate floor is not attached to the floor. It is easy to remove as well.


Engineered wooden floor: This wood flooring is not solid as traditional hardwood floors though it is real wood. This floor planks are constructed of wooden layers and they are joined together by using glue. There is a layer which is topped on the planks that is thick enough. The thickness of layer depends on the cost. This floor is a look alike of solid hardwood, but it is less costly. There are different styles like narrow planks, wide planks, and planks of random width which suit formal decoration.


Bamboo flooring: The other alternative option for hardwood floor is bamboo flooring. It provides an attractive look to floor. Bamboo's slender strips are joined together with glue to create narrow boards which are a look alike hardwood floor.


These are the different alternative options for hardwood. They are of less cost and convenient and long lasting.
