Cycling as an exercise

Cycling can help you to decrease your weight. I cannot say that the cycling will give you an instant results but it will definitely help you to decrease your weight gradually. One hour of cycling at a good pace will burn nearly 550 calories. It is an easy way to get the kind of regular exercise that is recommended by most dietitians. You can start out by cycling just once a week, or perhaps cycle to work one day, and cycle back from work the next day, and then, over time, gradually increase the amount of cycling that you do. Cycling acts as a aerobic exercise for healthy life. Cycling, exercises the heart better than walking without the pounding of jogging. I would recommend a minimum of 45 minutes a day and as much addition cycling as time permits. The time spent cycling will not be wasted; in addition to having a good ride, the cyclist will be more productive during the remaining time and will livelonger as well. The chances of injury compared with common sports, and the much more common dangers of heart disease, stroke, and diabetes can be lowered through cycling. Everyday cycling is an effective and enjoyable form of aerobic exercise. This is the type of exercise that is most effective at promoting good health. Cycling reduces the risk of serious conditions such as heart disease, high blood pressure, obesity and the most common form of diabetes. A 15-minute bike ride to and from work five times a week burns off the equivalent of 11 pounds of fat in a year. If cycling the equivalent of four miles to and from work in total a day the aerobic benefit increases to 17 per cent. Cycling is a simple way to stay fit and healthy at any age, or to shed those extra winter pounds. At a relaxed pace you can bike 3.5 km in just 15 minutes and burn off some calories Thirty minutes of moderate cycling per day can deliver these significant health benefits:
  • 50% reduced risk of developing coronary heart disease, adult diabetes, and obesity
  • 30% reduced risk of developing hypertension
  • Overall improved health.
So cycling as an exercise has many advantages in building your health fitness.

How to Move Heavy Furniture

If we are not moving to new apartment properly there is a chance to damage our belongings generally heavy furniture and breakable items. The movers will take care about it but some time you may have to move alone. At that time you have to follow some safety measures I was followed these steps when I moved to Philadelphia apartments and moved without damaging anything. First you have to buy Sliders of appropriate size at your local hardware or home goods store. Lift each corner and put a Slider bottom so that the smooth edge is towards the floor.

Move the furniture, holding it low, once all corners have sliders - because the friction is almost eliminated and the furniture moves very easily. If you have wooden floors, put a piece of old carpet or a rib under each leg before you move an item of furniture; it will slide more easily and won't scrape the floor. Next go to the supermarkets and gathering up different sizes of boxes for packing? Once the small things are taken care of, the big stuff has been finished we turn to the heavy stuff. Another way of moving a heavy object is by putting broom handles underneath, and just rolling on these. Never push heavy tall objects like book shelves - as they might fall and cause damage and more work. The best way to move them is to empty all the books first.
