Guidelines for Hotel Owners on Duvet and Pillow Fillings

For any hotel owner, it is the responsibility to take care of guests who come and stays in their hotels. Everything the hotel owners provide for their guests should be neat and clean and should meet the needs of guests, otherwise they feel uncomfortable. However, we all know that guests come with all sorts of requirement and needs when they stay at your hotel. So, be careful to provide the items which are non-allergic to your guests.

Pillows and duvets are bedding items by which most people are allergic because they get irritated to the fillings used in it. So, buy the duvets and pillows which contain natural stuff and reduce the risk of allergies to your guests.

Below are some of the fillings for your pillows which can reduce the risk of allergies:

Mulberry silk is the most luxurious form of fillings made from silk worms. The advantage of providing this pillow for your guests is, it is hypoallergenic as well as comfortable. But the downside is high price.

Natural (Feather and down): This filling is lighter and due to the organic nature of material, it is more breathable than the synthetic substitutes which allow comfortable sleep to your guests. But many people are allergic to these fillings. So, this is not a best choice. Here whenever, it is washed it should be completely dried, otherwise it will give foul odor.

Hollow fiber is a synthetic filling which is widely used. It is cheaper than the natural options and is hypo-allergic. This fiber is not soft enough.

Microfiber filling came out recently and offers a realistic softness. It is the best filling for allergic people because it kills all the dust-mites.

After, choosing pillows or duvets, consider the size because it should match the hotel bed sizes. Make sure that the covers you use for duvets or pillows are resistant to heat and cold, liquids, and durable.
