According to report of Stanford Research Institute International for the Department of Education on online education, students who learned through online, performed better than students who learned through traditional education.

Comparative research on online versus traditional classroom teaching is examined by the report from 1996 to 2008. they did most of the comparative studies in colleges and adult continuing-education programs.

On average, in tested performance, students who did their some or all courses through online got 59th percentile and if it is students who did the class room education, got 50th percentile, it was found by the analysis for the Department of Education. There is a meaningful difference statistically.
There is expectation that online education will be expanded sharply in the next few years and the number of students who are studying through online education, could be tripled along with online growth.

A little more electronic versions were added to old line correspondence courses in online education. This was changed by the arrival of the Web based video, instant messaging and collaboration tools.

Experts says that learning experience of online education is more adaptable to individual students than traditional classrooms. Students can learn more by this online education and students find that online education is useful.

Online learning management systems like Blackboard or the pen source Moodle is provided by universities and many schools. They are used for posting assignments, reading lists, and class schedules and hosting some web discussion boards.

Students will help each other and they will teach each other. Creating learning communities among the students will be done by using technology.
